Getting Started with TLC Driving School
You will find everything you need to get started with your driving lessons here.
Before you can learn to drive, you will need to obtain a provisional licence. You can apply online on the gov.uk website or you can apply by getting the application form D1 from your local post office.
The theory test is a multiple choice test done on a touch screen computer. You can take a mock theory exam here.
The real exam also includes a hazard perception test. Both of these must be passed before you can take your practical test.
Your theory test must be passed before you are ready to take the practical. It will take several lessons to get you ready and this differs per person.
When you are ready, you will need to book your practical test by contacting the DSA.
